The opening stage of the Masiv race will take bikers to the northeastern part of the Ore Mountains.
From the background at the Barbora water reservoir, you will have a breathtaking view of the wooded hills that will thoroughly test you at the beginning. A short stretch around the golf course goes from the Hrob village to the hardest part of the stage. Three kilometers of climbing a rocky road with more than 400 meters of elevation ended by climbing up a slope will be a great test for many. As a reward you will have the hill Bouřňák conquered and then there is a rapid downhill ride to Mikulov.
The route continues through a slight uphill ride through the forest to the natural parks of Cínovec peat bog. Then you will go through the well-known Ore Montains Ski Trail, get some energy at the refreshment point and on the Promenáda Route along the border to Moldava and Sklářská trail to the majestic wind power stations at Nové Město. Over the Vrch Tří pánů Hill, and after another refreshment, through fast forest stretches, you will reach the water reservoir Fláje, where you definitely may not miss an impressive view of the unique pillar waterworks.
From the valley of the dam you will go slightly up to the highest point of the route, which is 891 m above sea level and is called Vlčí hora. From here take the direction to the Vrch Tří pánů and through Domaslavice Valley you will take a long technical downhill course to the village of Křižanov. Watch out at the crossing of the road and hurdle back to Barbora to the finish.
